takehollywood.com promo trailer
From November 2008 to February 2009 I was one of three editors who scanned through hundreds of hours of footage from approximately 50 interviews with actors, directors, producers, agents and more. Each interview's footage was separated into six different themes and cut down to an average of about 45 minutes for each person.
In April 2009 I was asked back to produce a trailer for the site, TAKEHOLLYWOOD.com, to highlight their content to entice people wanting to break into the entertainment industry to purchase packages of advice from up to 75 successful members of the community talking candidly about their craft, their experiences and their advice for newcomers and seasoned vets alike.
selections from ayumi hamasaki 'next level' music video
I worked as an assistant editor on this video for one of the best-known pop stars in Japan. My responsibilities included logging the footage from two DigiBeta cassettes and importing it all into a Final Cut Pro project. Afterward I strung out a rough cut for about 80 percent of the video and then helped scrub through footage to find additional visuals for the lead editor, Oliver Power of Sixty Hertz. While he selection shown here has been fine-tuned and embellished by Oliver, it highlights a number of the edits I made that ended up in the final cut.
